Flat plate panels are linked together on your roof to generate electricity. This is the most common form of PV in the uk and the more panels you have the more electricity you produce.
The ideal situation for Solar PV is on a south facing roof with minimal shading, this is not always the case and they can also be fitted on an east or west oriented roof. The arrays can be fitted ‘in roof’ ‘on roof’ or on a flat roof. We have experience of fitting PV arrays onto Barns and outhouses, including asbestos sheet covered roofs.
This is ideally suited to new build properties or if you are planning on re-roofing your property but can be fitted to existing roofs.
They are designed in such a way so as to look like normal roof tiles.
They are fixed in place like normal roof tiles when the roof is being constructed. Ideal if planning may be an issue.
Photovoltaic panels harness the suns energy and transform it into DC electricity. An inverter then transforms this into AC electricity.
This is then used to power electrical items around the home/office.
If you generate more power than you consume, it may be sold back (exported) to the national grid. If you are not generating enough you simply continue to use (import) electricity as usual.
We will design a system which suits your requirements. All of our PV systems will be grid tied meaning you will be able to make money on your exported electricity.
